A restyling project for the packaging system of a brand that has become part of the Alfa Wassermann Group. The aim of the restyling was to improve the existing faults of the packaging, and to point out the new properties, but in such a way that it would appeal to the numerous existing consumers.
The client brief required a restyling with a more modern design, capable of highlighting the effectiveness of the active ingredient and of the product’s threefold action. The result is a highly visible pack, capable of influencing the psychological link between drug and patient. The brand-logotype was made more modern and dynamic through the use of new lettering and a shaded underline, which graphically represents the effectiveness of the ointment. There are three icons on the pack, each of which represents a possible indication for use of the ointment. The three icons, as well as making the use of the product immediately clear, also refer back to the drug’s threefold action.
In the world of OTC pharmaceutical products the name and packaging of a product are vital for proper communication within the customers. In the case of Herpesun we undertook a creative search for a name that would strengthen the brand’s positioning. We also redesigned the existing packaging to make it consistent with the new positioning "Defend".
The collaboration with the Alfa Wassermann group continues with the extension of the packaging system for the new Dicloreum painkillers.
